Travemünde on the Baltic Coast Cycle Route

The Baltic Coast Cycle Route is the German section of the European long-distance route EuroVelo 10 (the “Hanseatic Route”), which runs around the Baltic for some 8,000 kilometres. From the Danish border near Flensburg it runs via Eckernförde, Kiel and the island of Fehmarn to Lübeck-Travemünde. Here the Schleswig-Holstein part ends: over the Priwall the route crosses into Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and continues to the seaside resort of Ahlbeck. Travemünde is thus a natural stage and overnight point on the route.
