Museum in the Old Lighthouse
Germany’s oldest surviving lighthouse (1539) shows the history of lighthouse technology across eight storeys. 142 steps lead up to the roughly 30-metre gallery with a view over the old town, the Passat and the Bay of Lübeck. More on the history of Germany’s oldest lighthouse.

Seebadmuseum
In the historic Gesellschaftshaus, the Seebadmuseum tells Travemünde’s history across 160 m² – from fortified border post to imperial summer resort to the border history at the Priwall, with films, photos, audio stations and exhibits. Run by the Heimatverein Travemünde.

Museum ship Passat
The 1911 barque Passat lies as a museum ship on the Priwall bank. On board you can experience the tough world of cargo sailers – the ship rounded Cape Horn 39 times. A few minutes away by the Priwall ferry.

Sand sculpture exhibition
In the boat halls at the fishing harbour, huge sand sculptures are created each year on a changing theme – across about 3,500 m² and up to eight metres high. Ideal in any weather and with children.
